Anima Mundi Rosewood
Anima Mundi Rosewood
Aniba Rosaeodora
This precious tree, also known as Brazilian Rosewood, was driven to near extinction for its essential oil, and now we are working with an incredible team (eco-project) whose mission is to protect, restore and share the offerings of this healing tree. This Rosewood Essential Oil is CITES certified.
Our partners in Peru consider finding the rosewood seeds a "holy grail" for their project. They are on a mission to protect and restore the most endangered trees of the Amazon. Due to the incredibly endangered state of this tree, it took them five years to source the seedlings! Now, baby rosewoods are carefully cultivated in their nurseries, in order to be planted at their reforestation center at the start of each rainy season.
In addition, this project has teamed up with another initiative in order to cultivate seedlings and bring them to the native peoples of the Amazon. Thousands of seedlings are being brought home to once indigenous regions.
Indigenous peoples of the Amazon have traditionally used Rosewood Essential Oil to treat a variety of wounds and sores. Deeply healing, Rosewood is a divinely aromatic immunity supporting oil. Every part of the Rosewood tree is aromatic and the scent - floral, citrusy and woody with a hint of pepper - is deceptively lovely for an oil with anti-microbial properties.
This oil is considered gentle enough to use on all skin types, including oily, sensitive and mature skin. This oil is quite regenerative and is used commercially in many skincare and cosmetics. Rosewood Essential Oil is also lovely in body care preparations. Many natural deodorants will incorporate Rosewood for its anti-bacterial compounds combined with its heavenly scent and skin supportive nature. Add a drop or two to any massage oil and enjoy silky skin and feelings of calm and euphoria.
Rosewood Essential Oil is a balancing oil that can ease feelings of stress and instill feelings of tranquility. This essential oil is wonderful for use in energetic and spiritual work. The high levels of linalool in Rosewood Essential Oil have also made it a staple in perfumery. Rosewood essential oil has historically been used in many commercial perfumes.
