Fall marks the transition from the vibrant summer months to a season of harvest and introspection, making it the perfect time to bring medicinal herbs and remedies into our kitchens. As the flowers fade, the energy of the plants shifts inward, returning to their roots in preparation for the colder, darker months ahead. This seasonal change encourages us to focus on root-based preparations and explore grounding herbal rituals that connect us to our bodies + homes.
Join clinical herbalist Nasya Camacho over a warm cup of tea as we explore traditional ways to support the respiratory and digestive systems with food, herbs, and remedies. You’ll have the opportunity to taste, smell, and touch a variety of herbs and spices. Together, we’ll prepare Fire Cider, a traditional spicy tonic renowned for its immune-boosting, digestive, and cold-relief properties. Participants will leave with their own jar of Fire Cider, a wealth of kitchen medicine wisdom, and a deeper connection to our herbal allies.
